snoop dogg hits ibiza… but what’s that he is bringing with him?

After weeks of hype and anticipation, MTV's first ever weekly event in Ibiza opened on Friday July 1st. Headlining the first night of 'I want my MTV Ibiza' was Snoop Dogg, an innovative choice of artist on an island that has increasingly moved away from big-name DJs and towards smaller underground labels.

The choice of Snoop Dogg sets the tone of the rest of the season of 'I want my MTV Ibiza'. This event is not following the format of every club night in Ibiza – by shaking up the house music norms of the island, the success of MTV's foray into the island is definitely one to watch. With over 8,000 in attendance at the opening night, it is certainly going down well with the crowds so far.

With any big name, you get big requests, and Addicted got a sneak peek at Snoop Dogg's rider. His requests included a private jet, an entourage of 30, 3 XBox systems to be placed in his hotel room and a stack of ProTennis games. Obviously someone has been watching Wimbeldon.

Kelis is in town this coming Friday for the same gig. Can her rider get even more pimp? We'll soon find out…
