Five thousand volunteers are giving four hours of their time to their local community in return for a money-can’t-buy ticket to see David Guetta & Kelly Rowland, Nas, Razorlight, Nelly, Daniel Merriweather and Chase & Status at London's Royal Albert Hall this Friday.
The host of F**k me I'm Famous at Pacha, David Guetta, even took take out of his insane schedule to take part in a volunteering project himself to show his support… and we have the pictures to prove it! More than 60 volunteer projects will have been completed in London, working on a range of issues including the environment, housing and education.
The London launch of Orange RockCorps follows a successful programme in Manchester, which saw more than 3,000 young people give 12,000 hours to their local community in return for tickets to see Lady GaGa, The Enemy, N-Dubz, Tinchy Stryder and VV Brown at the Manchester Apollo.
The 2009 programme will continue with a series of four-hour projects in Paris, followed by a gig for volunteers at Le Zenith on 2nd October.
